I ended up going to another dealership the same day, and the process there was seamless even though my salesperson was not in the office to handle the paperwork, they made sure I was taken care of, and I drove my new car off the lot the next day. The team at Honda North did not really try to get me into another vehicle or turn this experience around. Unfortunately, communication was spotty once I put my deposit down and they did not know if/when the title would be in their possession or even its whereabouts. I texted my concerns and was told not to worry. I had informed them in prior communications and at my test drive that I needed a vehicle in my possession within a few days. Salespeople may not know off the top of their head if they have the title in hand, but this is information that can easily be checked while a customer test drives to avoid any headaches down the road. The person we worked with was great and handled the sales part perfectly, but when I put a deposit on the vehicle I was THEN informed they did not have the title in hand and couldn't do paperwork. I decided to give it another try and use a different salesperson this time. Several years ago we went car shopping at Honda North and had a bad experience trying to buy a vehicle. I am not the type to write bad reviews but I was super disappointed for the 2nd time at Honda North.
